Yalkın Demirkaya

Mr. Yalkin Demirkaya has twenty years of law enforcement experience as a Detective Investigator as well as a Detective Commander. In addition to his responsibilities as the Commander of the Computer Crimes Investigations Unit, Mr. Demirkaya also served as the Chief Information Security Officer of the Internal Affairs Bureau of New York Police Department.

Mr. Demirkaya has been responsible for creation of the first computer crimes investigation unit dedicated to internal investigations in the government sector. Mr. Demirkaya has pioneered and perfected investigative techniques for computer crime investigations. He possesses twenty-nine years of computer experience as a white hat hacker.

He is the founder and was the Commanding Officer of Computer Crimes Investigation Unit of the Internal Affairs Bureau, New York Police Department.

Dr. Erdal Özkaya

Erdal is an IT Security Guru with business development and management skills who focuses on Penetration Testing, IT Auditing and sharing his real life skills as a Lecturer / Trainer and is currently working as a Cyber Security Architect.

He is an award winning speaker and technical expert in worldwide conferences such as Microsoft TechEd, Hacker Halted, Microsoft Management Summit, AusCERT, trade shows and in webcasts for Microsoft and EC-Council and many other vendors. He was awarded “Best Speaker” in Microsoft TechEd Australia and an won the Global Instructor of the Year Award (2011 & 2012) and “Circle of Excellence Award” from EC Council. His proven success deployments especially in the areas of Microsoft workloads in real life has become subject to IT magazines.

Erdal is advising and creating content to Government departments, Fortune 500 companies and Information Security Professionals to ensure they are getting prepared against latest “Cyber Crime” and being able to defend their organizations against any security breaches. He is actively involved in the complex IT security solutions, and enforcing regulatory requirements to the organizations, to protect their digital assets.

Merike Kaeo

CEO & Founder of Double Shot Security

Merike Kaeo is CEO and founder of Double Shot Security. She has over 25 years of experience in pioneering Internet technology deployments and developing international policy and corporate security initiatives. Merike instigated and led the first security initiative for Cisco Systems in the mid 1990s and later authored the first Cisco book on security, Designing Network Security, which was translated into multiple languages and widely used in security accreditation programs. In 2007, she was instrumental in fostering cooperation and trust among the global operational security community and the Estonian National CERT during the cyber attacks against Estonia.

In recent years Merike has led and contributed to several global threat intelligence sharing initiatives. In 2014 she was part of the EU Network and Information Security (NIS) Working Group 2 that created guidelines and recommendations to promote the sharing of cyber threat information and incident coordination in both the public and private sectors in the EU. She is also the co-chair of the FIRST Information Exchange Policy SIG.

Merike is a member of the IEEE, a pioneer member of ISOC and has been an active contributor in the IETF since 1992. She has participated on the FCC's Communications Security, Reliability and Interoperability Council (CSRIC) and served a one-year term on the ARIN Board of Trustees from Jan 1, 2017 to Dec 31, 2017. Since 2010, Merike has been on ICANN's Security and Stability Advisory Council (SSAC), and currently serves as the SSAC liaison member to the ICANN Board of Directors.

Merike earned a MSEE from George Washington University and a BSEE from Rutgers University.

Klaus started his professional working career with advanced technology in high assurance applications at the height of the cold war serving in the United States Navy as a NATOPS qualified A-7E light attack pilot with both a Top Secret Security Clearance and Personal Reliability Program Certification required for Carrier Based B61 Nuclear Deterrence Missions.

Klaus maintains professional affiliations with the Society for Risk Analysis Applied Risk Management Specialty Group (SRA ARMSG), Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences (INFORMS), Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and American Society for Testing and Materials International Committee E11 on Quality and Statistics ( ASTM E11), and Atlantic Council of Finland, to insure the quantitative value of the Binalyze technology is clearly communicated to technical, business and policy decision makers to better manage immediate cyber risks in large global enterprises and to be fully compliant with the emerging US-EU Electronic Evidence Standard enabling more rapid response to criminal threats while assuring respect for the rule of law, privacy and civil liberties.
